I had two of the sweetest little girls ever in my studio during the last few weeks! Both were less than 1 week old and perfect little models. Calling all 2013 High School Seniors!! Win a free photo session!

Starting at 12am tonight, I will be holding my first photo contest of the year! If you know a student graduating in 2013, you definitely want to take part in this contest. All you have to do is submit a photo of your amazing senior-to-be, share with friends and family, and get them to vote, vote, vote! You are allowed 1 vote per person only and voting will be open until April 23rd. The winner will be announced on April 24th!!
The winner will receive the ultimate photo session package valued at over $600!! It will include a 2 hr photo session, 30-35 high-resolution digital images on flash drive with print release right, 48 wallets, and more!

My Sweet Little Girls {Quad Cities Child Photographer}

Yesterday was such a gorgeous day that I couldn’t pass up a trip to the park with my camera and the girls. We were in some serious need of new photos for the family, so this was perfect timing. Spring has to be my absolute favorite time of year, and I was super excited to see all of the blooming flowers and trees! Now, let’s just hope winter keeps away for the next month or so and doesn’t decide to make a return visit…

New Referral Program – Earn a free session!

I have decided to start a new referral program this year, and I think everyone will LOVE it!
Everyone that has a session with me this year will have a chance at a free mini session! I will be giving all of this year’s clients a set of 8 referral cards. All you have to do is hand out the referral cards to family and friends that you think would really love a photo session. If 5 of those referrals come in for a photo session, you have earned a free mini session (20-min session with 5-7 digital images)! You will want to sign your name on the back of your referral cards, so I know who to credit when they are remitted.
You don’t need the cards to get referrals, just make sure that your friends know to tell me who referred them!
So, be sure to spread the word if you have had a session this year, or schedule your session now and earn one for later this year!

Help me raise money for Niabi Zoo and receive a discount!

All of us with QC Moms in Business are helping support Niabi Zoo this year! In our individual efforts to raise money, many of us are offering a percentage of our sales for the month of February.
I will be contributing 10% of all sales and schedule sessions to Niabi Zoo this month!
I really want to be able to raise a great donation for Niabi, so I’m offering a special discount of 25% for all of my clients that book ($50 deposit due at time of scheduling) ”The Ideal” session during the month of February. This session is up to an hour long and can only be scheduled for families of 5 or less (extra $25 per additional person). 20-25 high-resolution images are included in this session on a USB flash drive along with a custom 5×5 photo book with the images from your session.
This session does NOT have to be during February, just scheduled. It’s an excellent time to schedule your spring or summer photos! Currently, I have already been booking March sessions, and I know it will start to fill up quickly as the weather begins to get warmer. So, take advantage of the discount now and book early while also helping Niabi Zoo!!

More Photography Classes in 2012!

The second “Mommy Paparazzi – Taking Better Snapshots” photography class of the year will be coming in February! This class will be a 2-week course held on the dates of Feb. 21st and Feb. 28th from 9:30am-11:00am. There will be a limit of only 5 students per class in order to keep the time more individualized and focused. This class is also open to any mom with a digital camera – doesn’t have to be a big fancy one 
What mom wouldn’t love to improve those snapshots of her kids? Capture some of those awesome memories in the making! We will discuss and practice techniques on how to compose better shots, how to adjust for different lighting situations, how to manipulate the settings on your camera to achieve better shots, and more! The price for this class will be $35/person and spot must be reserved by February 13th.
I will also be doing another class for moms who own a dslr (ex. Canon Rebel series, Nikon D5100, etc…) called “Beginner’s Basics.” This will be a 3-week course held on Feb. 23rd, March 1st, and 8th from 9:30-11:00. The class will involve learning the basics of manual exposure. We will step out of the comforts of auto mode and learn what all of those other camera settings are all about! We will go over other details as well, such as focal points, white balance, and more. Only 5 openings for this class as well! The price for this class will be $60/person and place must be reserved by February 15th.

So, I made the decision to let go of it…but I have missed everything about it. Soooo, I’m now going to be offering a few different super fun and small classes!
